The Northern Lake George Foundation (NLGF) Board of Directors is proud to announce the appointment of Mike Corbo as its new Executive Director, effective September 1.

“Mike’s appointment represents an exciting and important next step for the Northern Lake George Foundation,” said Kathleen Coffman, Board Chair and outgoing volunteer Executive Director. “It has been an incredible privilege to help lead the Foundation as a volunteer and to see the support for our mission, our partnerships, and our impact throughout the community continue to grow. Reaching the point where the Foundation can invest in dedicated executive leadership is a meaningful reflection of that growth and momentum. Mike brings a genuine commitment to our community, strong nonprofit experience, and a passion for supporting our youth and the broader community. I am excited to welcome him to this role and look forward to working alongside him and our Board as we build on the Foundation’s momentum and expand our impact throughout the Northern Lake George region.”

Mike served on the Board of Directors of the United Way of the Greater Capital Region in Albany for nearly a decade, while maintaining a successful career as a Vice President with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and owning his own Auto-Appraisal Company. Mike also recently renewed his love for the Northern Lake George Region when he and his wife moved back to Ticonderoga to care for his parents over the past four years. After his return, Mike began substitute teaching at the Ticonderoga Central School District where he immediately began to develop a positive relationship with many of the students and staff throughout the entire district while coming to understand the spectrum of challenges and needs facing the youth of our community.

“I am extremely excited and incredibly honored to join NLGF to work on increasing our impact on the community,” said Mike. “ I look forward to working closely with our amazing Board of Directors, staff, and dedicated donors, supporters, and community leaders to lead the Northern Lake George Foundation to the next generation of support for our youth, our community, and our long-lasting sustainability.”

Mike’s appointment represents a new era for NLGF. With a dedicated Executive Director, the Foundation can further its mission to enrich the lives of current and future generations in Northern Lake George. Mike will also serve as an important touch point for leaders, donors, and residents, putting a face to NLGF’s work as he advocates for our community and the people who call it home.
