NLGF Awards Over $27,000 in Scholarships

Ticonderoga, NY — The Northern Lake George Foundation (NLGF) is excited to announce it has awarded over $27,000 in scholarships to local students. These scholarships reflect the foundation’s commitment to supporting students by offering opportunities for skills enhancement and development of career pathways in the Northern Lake George Area.

Seven recent THS graduates have been awarded NLGF Scholarships: Isabelle Burroughs, Shaelene Dedrick, Madelyn Drinkwine, Eli Dromgool, Brady Leerkes, Derrick Osier, and Gracie Wells. Their programs range from linemen training to nursing and everything in between. These ambitious students exemplify the Northern Lake George community’s bright future, and the foundation wishes them the best as they pursue their dreams.

“A key element of our mission is supporting youth development,” said NLGF Executive Director Kathleen Coffman. “We are so excited to award over triple the amount in scholarships that we did last cycle. The success of this year’s scholarship campaign reflects how much people care about our community and its students. These scholarships change lives, so it’s very heartening to see the tremendous impact we can have when we come together as a community.”

NLGF scholarships enable students to pursue education and training by removing financial barriers related to tuition and non-tuition costs. Ticonderoga Junior Senior High School (THS) graduates attending a variety of programs, from trade school to 4-year degree programs, were eligible for awards this cycle.
